Studying from UNICEF, Children’s Play Rights, we learnt the importance of CRC (Convention on the Rights of Child, 1989). After conducting more research based on our society in Hong Kong, we believe it deserver higher level of public awareness. Best way to do so are by educating parents and raise public awareness together with inter-organizations, and by encouraging parents to spare free play time for children. At the same time, we would also want local children to appreciate what they have by sharing facts that there are a lot of children in developing countries do not even get to play at all due to health care and war issues.
Children’s Play Rights is one of our flagship project launched since 2017, and successfully reach out over 4000 people to join and learn about Free Play and Play Right. This project was got Best Long Term Community Development Program 2022 – Award in National Convension of Hong Kong !Through these few years we have successfully promoted the “1 hour playing time” to children. This project hopes to consolidate the idea that children can enjoy one hour of free play time and maintain children’s right to free play, promoting it to children and their parents of different races in Hong Kong and even internationally. At the same time, it raises public attention to the quality of children’s mental health and to promote Article 23 and 27 UNCRC, and support SDG 10 and 17.
