2008 Highlights:

• “We Lead, We Care, We are JCs” was the slogan of 2008 which to emphasis the core value of members of JCI “that service to the humanity is the best work of life”.
• A Chamber Executive has been recruited to take charge of the daily operation of the Chamber office and improve external communication.
• The “2008 Symposium on UNMDG & Global Compact” was held in October, to reinforce the public awareness on the United Nations Millennium Development Goals (UNMDGs). This project was also recommended being one of the flagship NOM Projects until 2015.
• To strengthen the understanding of the Mainland Affair and to demonstrate the International opportunity that JCI provided to the members, two “National Affairs Lectures” and a series of youth exchange tours were held in Beijing and the Pearl Delta cities respectively and they gained popularity amongst 
  participating parties.
• To aid the Sichuan Earthquake victims, a fund raising campaign was organized, and an appeal was made to JCI Headquarter to set up the “JCI Operation Hope-China Earthquake Relief Funds” through which some JCI National Organizations expressed their care and sympathy to the victims. An alliance was formed with other NGOs to care about the Sichuan children victims; and the mission would continue in the years to come.
• JC Choir is establ ished to strengthen the bonding between members as well as providing a high standard of entertainment to the members of JCI Hong Kong.
